Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a passionate and highly driven Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a platform connecting freelancers with businesses, we deeply value the importance of 'people' and 'connections.' You will act as a brand advocate, responsible for driving innovative marketing initiatives and offline outreach to attract more high-quality freelancers onto our platform, while also increasing awareness among businesses and individuals about how to post needs through us. Responsibilities 1. Offline Event Planning and Execution (Core Responsibility): - Plan and organize various offline events such as freelancer salons, industry networking sessions, skill-sharing workshops (Workshops), and user meetups to boost the platform's activity and visibility within local communities. - Oversee the full lifecycle of event execution, including venue negotiation, material preparation, on-site check-in, photography, and crowd management to ensure optimal outcomes. - Collaborate with partner spaces (e.g., co-working spaces, cafes, incubators) to establish long-term event partnerships. 2. Platform Promotion and User Growth: - Dual-sided market expansion: Conduct targeted field promotions or business development (BD) efforts for both the 'supply side' (freelancers: designers, developers, copywriters, consultants, etc.) and the 'demand side' (small businesses, startups, individual employers). - Introduce platform value through booths, presentations, and direct visits, guiding potential users to register, post services, or find talent. - Identify and negotiate with small enterprises or studios to encourage task posting on the platform. 3. Community Management and Brand Maintenance: - Build and maintain local freelancer communities (e.g., WeChat groups), regularly sharing event updates, new platform features, and industry news to strengthen user engagement. - Collect feedback from users during events and promotional activities, and submit regular market research reports to support product and service improvements. 4. Online Traffic Support: - Assist the team with online promotion by leveraging social media platforms (e.g., Moments, Xiaohongshu, Douban groups) to share recaps of offline events and highlight platform strengths, amplifying reach and impact. Qualifications 1. Basic Requirements: - No formal education requirement; candidates with degrees in marketing, advertising, communications, or related fields are preferred, but real-world execution ability is more important than academic background. - Prior experience in offline event planning, field promotion, volunteer coordination, or community operations is advantageous. 2. Personal Traits: - Socially confident / naturally outgoing: Enjoys interacting with people, possesses strong communication skills and approachability, and can confidently introduce products to strangers. - Strong execution capability: Proactive and action-oriented—able to turn plans into reality, detail-focused, and capable of handling unexpected situations during events. - Familiarity with the freelance ecosystem: Understanding of concepts like freelancing, multi-hyphenate careers, and flexible work arrangements.
